Additional Information about Anchor Windlasses

Horizontal and vertical anchor windlasses do an excellent job of retrieving anchors. The larger anchor windlasses with optional capstan work well for mooring, hauling or lifting on medium to large boats. Maxwell and Quick both offer accessories for easier anchoring and allowing windlass operation from multiple spots on a boat.
