Pyramid Oil Free D-icers
This line of de-icers by Pyramid Tech utilizes a "dry" motor technology with a significantly reduced the risk of damage from oil leaks as compared to oil-filled models. Sometimes called oil-less or oiless de-icers, the Pyramid D-Icer line does contain a small amount of oil to help maintain the water tight seal. Being a newer innovation in marine de-icing, these models don't have the track record of the Kasco De-icers or the breadth of options of the Ice Eater De-icers. Their oil free design does offer a unique advantage for ponds, aquaculture or aquatic environments that are sensitive to damage from potential oil leaks.
