Standard Land Anchor Sand Anchor
|
Why use the Ironwood Pacific Land Anchor as your shore or sand anchor? Because it provides unparalleled hold and security for your boat when compared to other sand anchors. Typical sand anchors (with or without a slide hammer) simply don't have the holding power of the Land Anchor sand anchor's helix design. There's a reason why marinas use helix anchors to anchor their floating docks: helix style anchors hold even in rough conditions.
Manufactured from heavy-duty, powder-coated steel, Ironwood Pacific’s Land Anchor sand anchor drills into the earth like a big screw providing excellent hold in sand, dirt or clay shorelines. Once the anchor has a good hold, simply tie your shore line to the anchor's cleat like turning bar and enjoy your time on shore.
The basic Land Anchor by Ironwood Pacific is 22 inches long and features a 4 inch helix for a powerful hold. The welded turning bar provides strong leverage for setting the anchor.
Some boat owners forgo a shore anchor assuming there will be a suitable rock or log to tie to. Others will try and improvise with a rusty piece of rebar and a hammer. Savvy boaters know that the cost of a good shore anchor is a small price to pay for the safety and security of your boat.
