Boater Sports Gold & White Nylon Double Braid Anchor Line
Yacht braid or double braid nylon is the rope of choice for anchor lines as provides the greatest strength and elongation or elasticity of any of the typical marine lines. Elongation or elasticity is important as it allows the line to deal with the extreme stresses place on it as the anchored boat rides the swells. The double or yacht braid design features a strong braided nylon core with a braided nylon jacket.
Boater Sports has taken this desirable line in 3/8 and 1/2 in. sizes and fashioned 100 and 150 foot anchor lines rigged with nylon thimbles to protect the lines from wear by the anchor shackle.
The marine stabilized nylon used in these lines is UV resistant and will not rot, chafe or mildew. It is desinged to stay flexible either wet or dry and top reduce line shrinkage by up to 20%.
